Minimal Impact: At LAVENDER HONEY SALT environmental responsibility is of great concern. We have a deep respect and love of the natural world in all its beautiful, dynamic and varied systems. We want to try and create as little impact through the manufacturing of our cards as possible in order to protect our planet. Using FSC certified card, a 100% recycled paper envelope, and a plastic free vegetable based cellulose wrapping, are all ways in which we are striving to make this world a better place. 

 

FSC Card: The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. Since its foundation in 1994, FSC has grown to become the world’s most respected and widespread forest certification system.

 

Envelopes: Our ribbed brown envelopes are manufactured in the UK from recycled paper sourced in the UK / EU.

 

Sleeves: Our biodegradable/compostable display sleeves are made with corn and potato starch in the UK. They can be composted commercially and will fully break down into compost in approximately 45 days. They can also be composted at home. If not composted, they will eventually break down into Co2, water and biomass.

 

Recyclable: All of our cards are 100% recyclable, if you don’t want to keep your card, put it into your mixed paper bin so it can have another new life.

Plantlife: 5% of all our card sales go to Plantlife. They are the only UK membership charity dedicated to conserving wild plants and fungi in their natural habitats and helping people to enjoy and learn about them.
